Instructions for Authors
Please submit your proposals for papers, presentations, and topics for roundtables and workshops via the submission engine at: https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/SECR2012.
An international Program Committee will review submissions for quality and relevance, and the author will be notified of the Committee’s decision by email.
Please remove all instances of authors’ names/affiliation from the submitted papers, as they will undergo double-blind review. Authors’ names/affiliations will be added only to camera-ready versions of accepted articles.
A paper submitted to the conference will be considered to be a duplicate submission and rejected without regard to the paper’s merit if there is substantial overlap in the technical content of the conference submission and any other work that is:
- under review at another publication, or
- has been accepted by another publication, or
- has appeared in another publication at any time prior to the completion of the conference review process.
All accepted papers will be distributed at the conference on a flash drive.
Review procedure and the Program committee
The review procedure has been improved this year with two interactive steps being added in order to insure the higher quality of presentations.
- The author submits the presentation proposal which consists of extended abstract (2000-3000 characters). The Initiative Group of the Program Committee reviews the submission, conducting the preliminary filtering.
- The proposals are published at the conference web-site anonymously and are discussed openly by the community. This allows the author to improve the proposal.
- The author submits the final version of the abstract or full paper by 22 of July 2012. The final revision is carried out by the Program Committee with the traditional double-blind review procedure: three or more experts review each paper independently without knowing the author’s name. The names of the reviewers are also unknown to the author.
The submissions selection is conducted by the Program Committee www.cee-secr.org/committees, which consists of recognized international and domestic experts from both industry and academia.
Timing and Equipment
- 30 minutes is allocated for each regular presentation, including time for discussion.
- Each room will be equipped with a video projector and a PC.
- Simultaneous translation will be provided.
Target Audience
CEE-SECR brings together software industry specialists of all levels: from programmers and academics to entrepreneurs and investors.
Working languages: dual English and Russian. Synchronous translation will be provided during the conference for those who speak only one of these languages.
Author benefits
One free conference pass per accepted paper will be given to the speaker making the presentation.
Following the conference, the Program Committee will select the best academic papers for inclusion in a special issue of the Software Engineering magazine (Russian) and IEEE magazines.
